Meet Angela

A Deep Commitment to Cape Canaveral

For the past two decades, Cape Canaveral has been more than just my home—it has been the heart of my family and the focus of my public service. Since moving here in 2004 as a longtime resident and homeowner, I’ve experienced firsthand the unique blend of small-town charm and forward-thinking spirit that makes Cape Canaveral so special. As an active member of Our Saviour’s Catholic Community and having served as president of the St. Vincent De Paul Society for six years, I have always prioritized service to others, both in my faith and in my community.

Experience That Matters

My journey in city government began on the Appearance Board of Cape Canaveral, where I served from 2012 to 2017, ensuring that our city’s development respected both our history and our future. In 2017, I was honored to be elected to the Cape Canaveral City Council, where I’ve proudly served for six years, including two terms as Mayor Pro Tem (2022-2023 and 2020-2021).

During my tenure, I’ve worked diligently to represent our community on the Space Coast League of Cities Executive Board and contributed to statewide initiatives through the Florida League of Cities. My roles on the Transportation Policy Committee and the Intergovernmental Affairs Policy Committee allowed me to advocate for policies that directly impact our daily lives—ensuring that Cape Canaveral’s voice is heard at every level.

A Vision for Cape Canaveral’s Future

My extensive experience in city government has prepared me to lead Cape Canaveral into a new era of growth, sustainability, and community engagement. I am committed to preserving the qualities that make our city unique while embracing the opportunities that lie ahead. As your mayor, I will prioritize:

  • Safety and Infrastructure: Improving A1A traffic, pedestrian, and bicyclist safety, upgrading our infrastructure, and ensuring our city is well-prepared for future challenges.

  • Environmental Resilience: Promoting sustainability initiatives that protect our coastline and enhance our community’s resilience to climate change, including stormwater and wastewater upgrades.

  • Community Engagement: Fostering a deeper connection between our residents and local government, ensuring that everyone has a voice in Cape Canaveral’s future. I am committed to promoting respect in the community and securing partnerships with community stakeholders.

  • Economic Vitality: Supporting local businesses, attracting new investments, and revitalizing our commercial areas to stimulate growth and enhance our quality of life, with a focus on affordable housing.

Why I’m Running

I’m running for mayor because I believe in Cape Canaveral’s potential. My background in university and international programs, applied linguistics, and teaching, coupled with my years of public service, have given me a unique perspective on problem-solving and communication. I understand the importance of listening, learning, and leading with integrity. I’ve also learned the value of collaboration and the power of diverse perspectives. It’s a lesson I’ve carried with me throughout my career, and it’s why I’m committed to building a city government that is inclusive, transparent, and responsive to the needs of all residents.

Join Me in Shaping Cape Canaveral’s Future

As your next mayor, I am eager to continue serving the community I love. Together, we can build a Cape Canaveral that honors its past, embraces the present, and prepares for a bright, sustainable future. I invite you to join me on this journey—let’s make a lasting impact together.
